A 54-year-old man from Lancashire has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a police dog handler on New Year's Eve.
Pc Katie Johnson, 29, was shot in the leg after a robbery at the Hospital Inn in Bamber Bridge, Lancashire.
Rudolph Mancini, of Kirkham, is charged with attempted murder, robbery and four counts of both unlawful imprisonment and possession of a firearm.
He was remanded in custody by magistrates in Preston.
Pc Johnson was among several officers responding to a 999 call after a gang of robbers stole £11,300 from the Hospital Inn.
Four members of staff were tied up and left in the bathroom during the raid.
Pc Johnson suffered 12 pellet wounds in her thigh and returned to work last month.
Wayne McDonald, 46, of no fixed address, and David Tyrell, 38, of Lions Drive, Swinton, Salford, have already been charged with attempted murder, robbery, firearms offences and four offences of false imprisonment.
They are in custody awaiting trial.
